Harry Potter's House - Personal
We all love Harry Potter - it may be the greatest YA series of all time. It's a classic. Taking a Pottermore test is essential for any fan, so of course, we all were sorted into our respective houses. Two of us were ravenclaws and one of us was a hufflepuff (we were disappointed that none of us were slytherins). Visiting the Dursley house from the movies is a must for die hard Harry Potter fans like us.

The book was widely enjoyed by the class, including us, and visiting this historic artifact would help us visualize and experience the first interpretation of the play in Shakespeare's eyes.

This attraction, set in the historical St. Margaret's Church, features costumed guides who take you around "medieval England". We think this will be an amazing experience to help us truly understand the Middle Ages and enrich the learning we did this year.

Visiting this location would be very interesting to compare the film to the actual beach and how realistic the film was. It would additionally be respectful to attend and pay tribute to the soldiers and civilians who risked their lives for the allied force.

Historical
The memoir, Night, written by Elli Wiesel is by the far the most memorable and impactful book that we have read as a class this year. The heavy themes and truth concerning human dignity and the choice between being a perpetrator or rescuer has been reiterated throughout both history and language arts. This location may not be a bright and joyous as the other 8, and we all held the choice to choose a location that was less uncomfortable and depressing, yet, this year has allowed us to understand our responsibility as individuals in society to remember and acknowledge the pain and suffering of the past.

We loved reading about Jean Val Jean's character arc, seeing his interactions with Cosette, and especially the emotional sewer system scene. This museum, called the Musee des Egouts, features Jean Val Jean's experience in the sewer tunnels while carrying Marius. Seeing this scene play out before us will only enhance our experience with Les Mis!
