We learned that the Common Core State Standards affect reading and writing today. The group provided us with examples. The Common Core State Standards are useful in trying to understand the comprehension levels of students.&nbsp;<br><br>Scaffolding Children prior to reading something new:<br>- preaching vocabulary<br>- parse the text<br>- Look at ELL levels for reading and writing<br>- Make Sentence Frames</div>]]></description>
