I would set it in a dark forest late at night. I would cast older women to play the role, kind of like Roman Polanski, but make them more realistic with the way they sound and act. I think it would ensure the tone Shakespeare intended because the way I perceive it to be is cold and dark with creepy women kind of in a cult.

I would set the scene in an old abandoned cabin in the middle of the woods and mountains when it is foggy and sunset. I would find three identical triplets to play the witches and all things combined would make things terrifying because triplets that are identical are not common which makes the characters odd and then the darkening sky would be like a wave of feeling a of being scared and the broken down cabin in the fog will create an ominous environment for the witches to do their thing in.

i would set the scene in the woods, around midnight when no one is around, and all there is, is trees surrounding them. i Would also cast older women, and make sure they look like they are into the whole spell and the witch acting. It would create a mysterious, dark and gloomy type of tone, and it would draw creepiness.

I would set the scene in a deep and dark forest in the Blue Ridge Mountains during fall in the month of November. When the trees are all bare and the nights are cold. Around midnight there would be three young and beautiful girls who look like they would do no harm to anyone or anything. They will be standing around a fire as they look at each other with the sweetest smile. You wouldn't think twice until they open their mouth to talk. They will have the most seductive and beautiful voice on earth, but they are the most wicked on the inside. In my opinion this would set the tone really well because no one really expects sweet sounding and beautiful girls to do and say such things...another thing that will help set the tone is where they are at. Why in the mountains? Why in November? Why in the cold? All these questions come into factor with this setting and the people in it.
