The hottest planet in our solar system is Venus? Though it is not only because it is the second planet from the sun, but mainly because of its very thick atmosphere that traps heat creating a runaway greenhouse effect-making it the hottest planet in our solar system with surface temperatures hot enough to melt lead. How cool is that!

Hi! I’m Venus Rean L. Baintin, 17 years old, from Grade 12 Collins of Ateneo de Davao University Senior High School, a humble woman whose intrusive thought is world domination. I mean I could, considering that I have already watched a lot of sci-fi movies and stuff... Just kidding hehe.

Anyways, I was born on March 26, 2008. My dad is a strong and tough policeman, and my mom is a kind and passionate teacher. Over the past 17 years, they’ve successfully raised three healthy and beautiful baby girls—I'm the eldest, the OG, and the other two are basically exact copies of me (like for real!). The only difference between us is our age and how much better-fed they are now compared to how I was back then. :/

We live in Cateel, Davao Oriental, a humble town facing the Pacific Ocean. It’s very peaceful there, unlike Davao City, which is loud, hot, and has heavy air. In my hometown, the sound of the creek, the breeze from the trees surrounding our house, and the sunrise spreading beautiful colors over the rice fields in front of us all make it feel like a sweet haven.

In Cateel, I have my own car, which I drive to school, and I manage a small business that provides a good income. I also have built a strong legacy at my school. But despite how beautiful home was, I wanted to try something new, experience more, and learn.

And so, here I am, studying at the most prestigious school in Mindanao—my dream school. I’m hopeful everything will go well, and that I’ll keep moving forward, curious, and ready to explore and learn!

Hello my ever gorgeous self! Hello! Hola! Kamusta? Did you master speaking in Spanish? Bro, are you the rich, independent, and cool tita na? Hehe joke lng, no pressure hehe.

Pero bitaw, kamusta? Ok ka lng? Were you able to fulfill the things you wanted to achieve? If not, ok lng, there’s still time ^^. Did you know that I learned something recently? Ok ito un, “smooth is fast, fast is smooth”. Take it slow lang bae, time is not running out, everyone might look like they are so very far ahead from you, and that’s ok, that’s normal. You don’t have to always try to catch up to them. Just be yourself, work with your own pace, and everything will get better. I know you are carrying a lot right now- expectations, school, social life, etc.. And that’s okay, there might be things that don’t go our way, no matter how hard we try, but, whenever that happens, always go back to where you came from, go back to the reason of why you started and stuff like that hehe (sorry, alam mo naman na we suck at giving advises TvT). Pero yah, i hope hindi ka na sige scroll ng reels din btw.

Well, in this stage of my life, I had grown well and discovered a love for music and pageants. My family even went back to Davao so I could join competitions, some of which I actually won! But when our finances went down, we returned to the province. Soon, I started going to school, and honestly, I hated it. I would escape from daycare right after my parents dropped me off, finding all sorts of ways to avoid class. And if I didn’t manage to escape, I was a huge troublemaker—the kind of student teachers felt relieved to see absent. Shhhh.
