         <description><![CDATA[<div>This is an Add-on in Google Slides. It turns your presentation into a gif or mp4 video. You can select the speed for the animation. (I usually select .9 seconds/slide.) <br><br>It's fairly simple to use. but the quality of the gif is not as good as talltweets.com. (Also, you will see recent reviews are stating there are numerous problems with getting the application to load. When I used it this past weekend, I did not encounter any problems, but the color and quality of my final product was "off."</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. No extra equipment, cameras, props, or other materials needed to create simple stop motion animation videos. If you have access to a internet connected device and Google slides, you are ready to go!<br><br>2. Using Google slides (even at a young age - especially at a young age!), is an excellent way to introduce students to the features of Google slides and gives them a solid foundation of the application which will carry over into other uses.<br><br>3. Stop motion animation is cross-curricular. This is technology that can be used in all subject areas to introduce topics, reinforce concepts, assess content, review material, or be a capstone project at the end of a unit.          <description><![CDATA[<div>We did this lesson in September of this  school year (2020-2021). Our district was using an hybrid instructional model at the time, so I was seeing  all of my students over the period of four days A handful were virtual students. Those students were given video lessons over Google Classroom.<br><br>The task was to create a stop motion animation of a dot traveling across the screen. While it sounds like a simple task, for some students, this was the first time they used Google Slides. So, they were also learning how to do tasks like copy and paste, draw a circle, color fill, drag and drop, set a background, etc. Here are some of the stop motion animations that were created: </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I had our 4th graders complete this stop motion animation project this past December when we were in a virtual instructional model. They listened and (hopefully) watched a video lesson I posted to our Google Classroom. They then completed the assignment, which was to insert a star onto a tree and make it move to the top. They had to learn how to "draw" the star, fill it with color and then duplicate the slides to create the animation. Some students added additional decorations to their tree. Here are a few examples. I also include one example where the student, clearly, did nothing!</div>]]></description>
