First day of going to primary school

I was very scared because the school was very big and I had to leave behind all my old friends from kindergarten.

Covid 19 HBL lockdown when I was P3 to P4. I couldn't see my friends anymore except with online calls and it affected my studies a lot.

PSLE results day

I was very excited and anxious when waiting to get my results

My class had an EOY class party (organized by the students) at the NRSCC chalet. We had a buffet and played some games. I was quite sad as I knew that that was the last time I would see the majority of my classmates.

(First day of Secondary School) Switching to a new school made me nervous and I was curious to see what the school canteen had to offer.

Durability

Due to the fact that I had to move, I had to say goodbye to my friends at my old house.

I also had to familiarize myself with my new surroundings and meet new people.

This event has taught me the importance of adaptability and how to do so.

I have been staying at the new house for around 12 years and I am still living there till this day.

Profundity

I had to go to Yu Neng primary school for six years.

I had a much heavier workload there compared to my kindergarten, and I was blown away by how big the school

was.

I met new people and a lot more opportunities arose when I was at the school. I now had chances to compete in contests and to perform in front of the whole school.

From my six years at Yu Neng I learnt the importance of responsibility since I now had to arrive to school and hand in homework on time.

Quantity

Just to get good results for my psle, I had around 4 hours of tuition during the June holidays. I attended study camps that was around 6 hours per subject and my workload from my teachers doubled.

In addition to that, my parents left me behind during the holidays in Singapore so that I could study while they enjoyed a vacation in China.

The day before every psle exam, I would study the subject topics for the entire day.

From this experience, I learnt the importance of hard work when all the effort I put in paid off when I got my results.

I knew that I had to work hard for my psle as it would determine which school I went to for my next 4-6 years.
