MARKETING INDUSTRY. Shawqi, danial , rizzqy.

Marketing is the study and management of exchange relationships. Marketing is the business process of creating relationships with and satisfying customers. With its focus on the customer, marketing is one of the premier components of business managem.
The purpose of the marketing industry is to communicate companies’ offerings to consumers, clients, and the general public. Marketing professionals bridge the gap between companies and their customers. The American Marketing Association defines marketing as “the activity, institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large.″ In the United States, the marketing consultant industry is a $43 billion business, consisting of nearly 198,000 businesses that employed more than 355,000 workers in 2016, as reported by the market research group IBISWorld.

Marketing companies employ consultants who advise businesses on ways to improve their marketing tactics, with the goal of understanding what customers want, giving them what they want, and increasing profits. Businesses may hire marketing professionals to conduct marketing and sales research (e.g., public opinion polls, surveys, etc.), sales forecasting, developing marketing objectives and policies, developing and pricing new products, and for other assistance in improving and enhancing their business operations. Governments, educational, religious, social service, and nonprofit organizations hire marketing specialists to help them manage their products and services and promote their brands.

The types of jobs in the marketing industry include marketing managers, market research analysts, and marketing specialists. Marketing professionals may work in-house with companies on a full-time basis or they may be hired as independent consultants. The Department of Labor reported that there were 192,890 marketing managers employed in the United States in May 2015. Other business areas that the marketing industry works closely with include brand and product management and development, advertising, promotions, public relations, and media relations.

Many top marketing companies have global offices that offer a variety of services, making it easier for clients to have more aspects of their projects completed by one company instead of contracting with different companies for different services. Clients often prefer agencies with full-service branding and marketing communications services. The types of services marketing agencies offer include analytics, such as studying data after an advertising campaign is completed to see where improvements can be made, and media research, for traditional, digital, social media, and search engine marketing. Full-service marketing agencies may also offer public relations and social media research and strategy, as well as production and creative services, and consumer research, and brand development. All of these services are done in an effort to improve connections with the customers and boost sales.

The marketing industry is a relatively young industry. It began in the early 1900s, when scholars started to study the relationship between sellers and buyers. By the 1950s, competition between companies was keen. The common tactic of selling as much product as possible without considering what customers wanted had saturated the market. Companies wanted to streamline their sales process and make their sales transactions more efficient and effective, so they started to take buyers into account. This approach gave rise to what became known as the marketing concept, which is the philosophy that companies should first analyze their customers’ needs and then any decisions they make should aim to meet those needs.
https://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/social-media-marketing-industry-report-2014/

What is the most pressing issue in your field, and what one improvement could your country make to its current education system to prepare students to face it? The responses expressed concerns about the current state of education in countries around the world. Many students lack access to the information they need, and those with access are often constrained by curriculum that emphasizes rote learning and isolated subjects.

We
Digital transformation is an ongoing journey that requires putting the consumer at the center of your business. As you pursue digital transformation in health care, look beyond the technology required to drive innovation. You can't win simply with huge investments in mobile, cloud or marketing technology.

No one can dispute technology’s ability to enable us all to live longer, healthier lives. From surgical robots to “smart hospitals,” the digital transformation is revolutionizing patient care in new and exciting ways. That’s not all. National health expenditures in the United States accounted for $3.2 trillion in 2015—nearly 18% of the country’s total GDP. It’s predicted that the digital revolution can save $300 billion in spending in the sector, especially in the area of chronic diseases. Clearly there is value—human and financial—in bringing new technology to the health care market. The following are just a few ways how.

Telemedicine

Even back in 2015, 80% of doctors surveyed said telemedicine is a better way to manage chronic diseases than the traditional office visit. Why? Telemedicine offers patients and health care providers both a new wave of freedom and accessibility. For the first time, a patient’s care options are not limited by geographic location. Even patients in remote areas can receive the highest quality of care, providing they have an internet connection and smart phone. Telemedicine can also save both time and money. Patients no longer have to schedule their days around routine follow-up visits (and long office waits). Instead, they can hop on a conference call to get the prescription update or check-up they need.

Mobility And Cloud Access

Have you ever played phone tag with your doctor while waiting for important test results? It’s so nerve-racking! That’s why mobility and cloud access have been such a tremendous help in increasing accessibility for patients and doctors alike. By 2018, it’s estimated that 65% of interactions with health care facilities will occur by mobile devices. Some 80% of doctors already use smartphones and medical apps, with 72% accessing drug info on smart phones on a regular basis. Gone are the days of paper charts and file rooms. Hospitals, insurance companies, and doctor’s offices are now storing patient medical records in the cloud, with patients able to access test results online 24/7.

Artificial Intelligence And Big Data

Big data is king in the digital world, and health care is no exception. Yes, it can be gathered to measure customer satisfaction. But perhaps more importantly, it can be used to automatically identify risk factors and recommend preventative treatment. Even more exciting: with the rise of the Internet of (Medical) Things (IoMT), mobile and wearable devices are increasingly connected, working together to create a cohesive medical report accessible anywhere by your health care provider. This data is not just useful for the patient. It can be pooled and studied en masse to predict health care trends for entire cultures and countries.

https://youtu.be/cM4aep7VXb8

Digital Transformation in Manufacturing (Adam, Isyhraf, Fawwaz)
With the advent of new technologies, customers want more, a contract that covers maintenance and repairs over a period of time is no longer good enough, to keep up manufacturers need digital transformation. Digital transformation in manufacturing is driven by customers image
Customers now want the peace of mind that they will not have to worry about the assets they purchase not meeting expectations.
A paradigm shift in business models appears to be occurring in the manufacturing industry. More and more companies that would have typically just sold products are now selling services in an attempt to future-proof themselves from commoditisation.

Of course, as some industry veterans may be quick to point out, service in manufacturing isn’t anything new. Indeed, whether it’s changing belts, inspecting breaks or providing warranties, manufacturers have long been offering aftermarket services.

However, with the advent of new technologies, customers want more and a contract that covers maintenance and repairs over a period of time is no longer sufficient. Customers now want the peace of mind that they will not have to worry about the assets they purchase not meeting expectations. These expectations are propelling manufacturers to move on from selling products and instead offer outcomes and services – this trend is referred to as servitisation.

Take, for example, Goodyear, who’ve recently announced the launch of Goodyear Proactive Solutions. This will aim to use new technologies such as predictive analytics to help truck fleet managers better handle how their vehicles are used. They are not selling a product, but instead a capability delivered through the performance of the product.

Beyond benefiting the customer, servitisation offers a unique ability to retain customers and receive recurring revenue. According to Oxford Economics/PTC research, 44% of companies seen as high performers in services have seen an increase in their profit margins of over 20%.

However, given the benefits, servitization comes with its challenges. As the old “if it breaks we will fix it” model is no longer good enough, manufacturers must now focus on things like maximising product uptime and preemptive repair of equipment before it fails. Adopting new technologies such as sensors, IoT and machine learning is the way to make this happen – placing CIOs and tech leaders in the driving seat of adopting this new business model. https://youtu.be/_VmfIeOathg
