Honestly, I embrace the first 3 types of disruption (classroom, curricular, and position) as learning opportunities and teachers. I also do a lot of coaching "light" as prep work for coaching heavy later on (and it works!)

As a coach, I often assume that teachers already know and understand the importance of classroom routines, but more often than not, I find that the lack of those routines is what is behind issues I'm called on to help teachers with. I like the idea of focusing on opening and closing routines and engaging routines.
