1. One highlight is the Puritan society that is introduced. 
2. Another highlight is the rosebush, that is known to find "some sweet moral blossom"
3. The last highlight of the chapter is there is land set aside for both a cemetery and prison. 
Chapter 2: The Market-Place
1. A highlight of this chapter is the Scarlet Letter that she has to wear on her clothes forever.
2. Another highlight is the public shame, where she has to stand in front of the whole town for three hours with all the people just staring at her.
3. The last highlight of this chapter is everyone looking at her holding her baby while walking back to the prison. 
Chapter 3: The Recognition
1. A highlight of this chapter is Hester recognizing her husband in the crowd while he was pretending to be someone so nobody would know who he is.
2. Another highlight is Hester refusing to say the name of her baby's father. 
3.
