My favorite part of the book was when Flinch took the bombs and saved Paris. That was my favorite part because I think it had a lot of detail and there was a lot of suspense. He refused and went to his NERDS group. Mama Rosa was his only family member that was there with him but knowing that she was sick kept him up all night. He didn’t get a chance to do his math homework so when his teacher asked if he had his homework he said no, he said to his teacher that he was on a mission, but his teacher didn’t believe him. He started to explain what there was and he said that there were monkey pirates invading from the sun and how he broke his face on a chili pot.             - Luke B

]]> 2020-04-07 18:50:41 UTC https://padlet.com/lcontreras14/43mnk7swkuwo/wish/497452332 https://padlet.com/lcontreras14/43mnk7swkuwo/wish/497496940 I think the theme is super-powers because the NERDS all have super-powers.  They are trying to defeat a virus that is spreading that makes everybody have super-powers and they do not use them for good.  The virus got to Wheezer and Flinch but Flinch was able to fight it with super speed and strength (because they were covered in sugar) good germs.  The teachers are also a problem because the kids cannot go anywhere without them seeing them.

In the book there is a virus going around that turns people evil and the protaganist have to avoid getting it. I like this idea because It build up suspense.
