An intelligent leader had a good amount of knowledge about what is going on in the work environment. This makes him a competent leader and will reduce the amount of stress in their subordinates because they will not have to explain everything, and also this will gain a leader respect among his employees. An intelligent leader will also know how to deal with problems with both the work and the workers, as well as be able to predict and prevent potential problems before they happen.

A sociable leader cares a bout his employees, and gets along with them well. They take an interest in their workers lives, and is there for them when they have a problem. A sociable manager is also likely to become friends with some of their employees, but they should be careful not to let that get in the way of getting the job done. Being too sociable could be a problem if it is taking up time that should be spent working or if it makes some employees feel as though the manager is showing preferential treatment to some employees that they talk to more than others. They should remember that they are leaders first, and friends second.

Integrity is probably the most important trait a leader can have. This means not lying to employees, doing what you say you will do, when you said you would do it, and also taking responsibility for your own mistakes. Once a manager has been caught in a lie, everything they say after that is questionable. Also, if a leader blames his employees for their own mistakes, they will lose respect and it will be very difficult to get people to work hard for them. Telling too much of the truth can be a problem too, a good leader needs to know exactly what is important to tell their employees and what they should leave out.
