Each art piece was incredibly intricate and some were highly abstract however still conveyed a strong message. The lego exhibit was my favorite of all due to its complexity and the amount of effort it must have taken to create. I could also personally relate to this because of my childhood where legos consumed a majority of my time. Along with this, I can relate my experience of injustice I see within the news that could relate to many of the people's faces who were depicted in the legos. In relation to this personal experience, I can see how these faces can connect to the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Each person has certain rights just by virtue of being human, as Houston Smith would say. These people were each trying to fight for a cause that is ultimately protecting the rights of all people. However since the corrupt government of many of these people deem their cause to progressive and threatening, all these people were incarcerated, tortured, or died for their cause. These people connect to our reading as a way to show how people respond when their rights are violated.
