1. Charles  Darwin was an English naturalist fascinated by nature and discovery.

2.  At the age of 22 he undertook a five-years voyage, on board of the “Beagle”, to Island Galapagos, in South America. 

3. He made this journey with the purpose of  studying the natural species by using direct observation.

4. After the journey he felt like a blind man who had  been given sight because he acquired a new world view.

5. He collected fossils, he draw them and he took detailed records to analyse and study the subjects of  his research.

6. The aim of the research was to tackle the mistery of science and biology.

7. Thanks to the voyage he understood that there is a connection between all-living things.

8. He revealed the results of his studies to no one but his brother, because the consequences of  the spread of  his revolutionary discoveries could have been too risky.

9. He didn’t published his ideas not to go against the Church’s dogmas and not to ruin his career being obliged to forswear.

10. In his days the beginning of life was attributed to God, according what is told in the Bible.

11. He needed 23 years to exhibit his ideas.

12. “The origin of species”  is the book in which Darwin explained the evolutionary progress.

 13. He called it “The mechanism of change”

14. His contribution is so important because he did the groundwork for biology,  he explained the natural evolution and he changed the world view.
