1 of the things I’m definitely confident in is my ability to write. I have the Ms. Dima training in AP Lang and I feel that I can write a decent essay. One of my challenges would be the use of I in my argumentative essays. That was one of my struggles last year. I feel that I’ve gotten better, but it’s still something I work on. One question I have is the speed of our assignments. How long will we usually have to complete our assignments ?

One thing this upcoming year that I feel confident about is being able to write efficiently. One thing I may find scary or challenging during this year is using big words in essays and projects. My most important question about the syllabus is, would there be another theme throughout the year?

I feel confident in researching and using sources to back up an argument.

I feel like using rhetorical strategies will be a challenge for me because I don't remember having used them in the past.

Are the projects slide presentations or are they in a different format?

Being able to use ai for research sources and inspiration when hitting a block in my writing is a confidence for me but I will try to ask for help from the teacher before resorting to ai. One challenge for me would be staying focused and motivated since I get unmotivated really easily. Will we be annotating texts and what will the small class work/assignments be about?

Confidence- One thing that i read from the syllabus was that you do allow students to feed AI a writing prompt for inspiration which made me feel more confident about the class because sometimes it is a little harder for me to think of what to write.

Challenge- Staying focused in class and attendance overall. I also find the amount of speaking in front of the class that I have to do a little unsettling.

Question- How many times throughout the year will we have solo presentations?

I am confident that I will be able to keep up with the work assigned and do it to the best of my ability.

One challenge is speaking out in group discussions.

Would field research expand outside of class time?

1 confident that i have is getting the work done in time and 1 challenge that i might have is the participation in class because im not really a big person to have a group conversation. and 1 question that i have is if we are going to be doing a lot of presentations.

I'm confident in the research aspect of this class for certain assignments that will require it. I learned a lot with my AP seminar class.

One thing I think I'll find challenging are essays because I can often get a writer block. I can write decently well but once I get stuck, its hard to move from there.

A question I have is how much time will we have for those rough drafts and final drafts for the essays?

I’m confident on research parts of any topics but I do struggle with elaborating in my essay. I always just get to the point instead of adding details. One question I have is when we end up interviewing people can it be a group thing because im nervous to do it alone

One thing I know I'll most likely find as my biggest challenge would be the urge to not procrastinate and leaving the work to be done last second.

One thing I feel confident about what we will be studying in this class is how I will be able to annotate and read long texts on assignments given, and being able to understand what I read. One thing that I think I'll find challenging this upcoming school year would most likely be trying to understand words that I am unfamiliar with. My most important question from reading the syllabus would be how many presentations would we have throughout the year.

I'm confident that I will be able to complete my research, find a thesis, and write a clear essay that effectively communicates my research topic. One challenge I think I'm going to face is talking within the class because I'm a very quiet person, and I hate to talk and present things in front of people. One question I have is how many big essays will we have to write? And do we have to share our essays with the whole class or a small group?
