Population and Soldiers
The North had the advantage, with its larger population of 22 million compared to the South's measly population of 5.5 million. This would provide a significant advantage because for the North as they had over 16 million more people, meaning that they would have more soldiers available to fight for their cause.

Even though the North had more soldiers, the South had the advantage with more skilled and strategic generals. It's says that they have a "strong military tradition", which would mean that they have more experience in the battlefield.

Due to the supplies of the north and the greater population the north had the advantage over the south. The north out numbered the south as they had 22 million people and were able to draft almost half of the population. Where as the south only had 5.5 million people. The north also gained people because of propaganda allowing people to feel that they were fighting for their country and making sure that their country stays whole.

Another way the north had the advantage was that they had a superior railroad system allowing them to send supplies and troops around the 22,000 miles of track that they maintained and also began sabatashing the southern railroad that only spread across 9,000 miles.

The north had 22 million soldiers while the south only had 5.5 million people. The northern army could overwhelm the south because they had four times as many soldiers. They had four soldiers for every one southern soldier. With this advantage they could win battle through numbers a lot easier. The north also had the advantage with transportation. The north had 22,000 miles of railroad while the south only had 9,000 miles of railroad. With more railroad the north could transport their soldiers a lot quicker and farther . The north could also bring supplies to soldier security faster and even if they were far away they could still get the supplies to them. The south couldn't do nearly as much. So they found it a lot harder to get supplies to soldier and they also couldn't transport their soldiers and supplies nearly as far and quick.

Topics: Population and Transportation
-------------------
The Union has a much larger advantage than the Confederacy involving heir population. The Confederacy had a population of 5.5 million to draw soldiers from, but the Union had a population of 22 million to draw soldiers from, four times that of the Confederacy. This means the Unions army could easily overwhelm Confederate soldiers.
—
The Union also had a much larger advantage involving transportation. While the Confederacy had railroad tracks that spread across 9,000 miles, the Union over doubled that, with a railroad stretching 22,000 miles.

Transportation and Railways

During the Civil War, transportation was a problem for both the North and the South. Soldiers on their feet all day would soon become fatigued, and there shoes would fall to pieces after a couple of months of constant foot travel. That's why the North had a major advantage with it's expansive amount of non foot travel options and amounts. The Northern railways spanned around twenty-two thousand miles, while the South had a little more than a third of the amount of railway the North had with nine thousand miles. That's already had a huge advantage against the South, but still, the North had many southern flowing canals and roads. In the end, the North had a huge advantage against the South when referring to transportation.
