I spend a lot of my time working at Greggs which helps me develop my skills that I use at college when communicating with staff or other students and use it throughout my work

I have recently been put on a higher contract at work which has resulted in me working more hours, meaning I spend more time developing my current skills and learning new ones which I can use at college

I get quite tired when working so much and therefore have started lacking slightly at college, I need to find a better work/life balance to deal with both work and college as well as looking after myself better.

I use teamwork on many occasions at college, especially with Adam's assignments where I split the work with Amelia so we both do half the research, and then combine the research when typing up the assignment

The teamwork worked well as we were able to finish our assignment much quicker than if we were working on it separately, and therefore had more time to work on other assignments and was up to date on all of my work

I could have made notes of my research in a way that can be comprehended by others as opposed to making notes that I will know of as I did the research - Amelia didn't understand a couple points I made as they werent detailed

I use teamwork every time I'm at work, as we have to serve, clean, cook food all at the same time, and so use teamwork so all of these tasks can be performed at the same time and therefore keeps us on track throughout the day.

The teamwork works well as it means we are always stocked up and communication between staff is improved as we are all up to date on any information or tasks that need doing

I should learn to get over being worried about asking others to do a task if i am busy and just ask, as we all help eachother and not asking these questions puts us behind for the day.

I use teamwork at home with my parents whilst looking after my brothers as I will help with tasks around the house while making sure my brothers are fine, and then help out whilst making dinner so everything can get done and we can all eat whilst the house is also clean.

We all get to eat a nice meal while my brothers are busy with games or homework, and I help out making dinner or cleaning things around the house like hoovering. This means we all get to eat a nice dinner and everyone is happy.

I could do more to help out around the house as I get side tracked and sometimes just play with my brother or only make food and then the cleaning needs to be done later in the day.

To motivate myself I light a candle in my room, make sure I'm warm and comfy and I have music playing, which motivates me to do my work as I will get in a work mindset and therefore have no distractions and can do a lot of work in the period of time i give myself.

I get a lot of my work done when i do this and therefore can catch up or get ahead on work and dont have to worry about late work.

Its hard to get myself into this mindset as i get easily distracted or bored and will check my phone or find something else to do and get completely sidetracked.

I get myself into an evening routine where I will have a meal, then have a shower and do assignment work or read or play a game until I feel tired before 10.30pm at latest, and then sleep before 11.30 to motivate me to wake up early for the next day so im not tired and therefore focus more

It helps me feel more refreshed in a morning and Im therefore happier when going to work or college and am more determined to do my work

Sometimes i dont stick to the routine as well as I could and therefore sleep too late and feel tired in the morning.

When i dont want to do something/go somewhere i plan myself a little treat or reward after i complete the task, which motivates me as Im more eager to complete the task so i can get the treat at the end.

This means i get done anything that needs to be done while im determined and happy to do it knowing i will be proud at the end as i have completed the task, as well as earning a treat at the end.

I need to find new things to have as a treat after as im used to what i do currently and therefore do not get as motivated anymore.

I support my brother with his school work as he is three years younger than me so I can remember what i learned at his age and help him prepare for his exams next year.

He feels like hes learned something new and I feel happy as Ive managed to help him with things he struggles with

I could spend more time or offer him help more often than I do

I sit down to read with my youngest brother as he has a school book he has to read and then have signed off, so I sit with him and let him read and help him with anything he gets stuck with

Im helping my brother develop his skills and everyday tasks which makes me happy and makes him feel more proud and accomplished as he has done all his homework

I could read with him more often, but its hard to get him to comply unless its before bed as he loves playing games too much, so i should take more responsibility to do more school work with him

I help my friend who is in the course in the year below with her assignments as i know the content and had good grades last year, so i give her help with the assignments to make sure she knows what shes doing and to get a better grade

She appreciates my help and finds her work easier as I can show her my actual work and therefore she is able to visualise it as opposed to just understanding from being told how to do the work

I could develop the helping more or spend more time doing it as i dont go into too much detail and just let her see the work to visualise it, so i could go into more detail explaining my work and why its written instead of showing her how to do the work

I am reliable for my parents as i sometimes have to pick up my brother from school and therefore am always able to pick him up when they might need it

I can get my brother from school and my parents dont have to stress about how to get him home, meaning they can continue working in peace

I could offer to get him more often than i do, as i only pick him up when they ask

I am reliable at work as I always come into my shifts on time and very rarely call in sick which causes us to be short staffed.

Im working up to a good standard and other people appreciate the work i do, and that i am on time, so the day can go smoothly.

I could offer to stay longer at work more often when we are busy and are needed

I have started covering peoples shifts more often when they are not able to work and therefore benefit the workplace as the managers dont have to worry about being short staffed and being behind at the end of the day.

It means that the day runs smoothly and the managers dont need to worry about finding cover from elsewhere, and all jobs end up being finished at the end of the day, and I also get some extra money at the end of the week.

I could offer to cover peoples shifts more often, as i realise how difficult it can be without staff when im working and its short staffed, so covering for others will prevent that stress for my colleagues
