Growing up I was lucky enough to have all my family in my life, mother, father, and all grandparents; both of my grandmothers like norteñas, basically Hispanic folk dancing. My grandfather on my mothers’ side, he liked listening to organ music, really beautiful, and my grandfather on my dads’ side, he likes to listen to salsa and merengue. My mother and father are on very two different sides of the spectrum, my mom is what I like to call ghetto fabulous, she introduced me to hip-hop and all genres that fall with that, and my dad, he showed me what is was like to love someone with music, he likes oldie music from before his time. I can say that my family gave me a lot of musical options to choose from. Growing up, like every child, I wanted to learn music, so I started playing clarinet in the seventh grade, and going to middle school I heard a lot of different songs that I never heard at home, so then I found the internet. I started searching and I found people like Etta James,  Amy Winehouse, Muddy Waters, they were sounds I never heard before, and I liked to think that I could identify with what they were saying at such a young age. Later on I started listening to rock and rap and so many other things that make my identity what I like to call Musicalitacious.
