         <description><![CDATA[<div>SEPARATION<br>Distillation and Fractional(have tube and heat it up and have a tube going through the tube with both the liquids and the tube connecting to another tube to collect the first liquid):<br>Manually Separate: doesn't work<br>Magnets: doesn't work<br>Evaporating Dish(turn them into a powder):<br>Funnel(the higher density will settle to the bottom of the funnel):<br>IDENTIFY<br>Boiling Point(use condensing tube in order to save the liquid, add boiling chips, take data every 30 seconds, when the temp stays the same 6 times that's the boiling point):<br>Freezing Point(freeze the substance until it becomes a solid): <br>Solubility in Sugar(add a small amount of sugar to the test tube shake to determine if it is soluble): <br>Density(divide the mass by volume): <br>Flammability(does the liquid burn?          <description><![CDATA[<div>SEPARATION<br>Fractional Distillation(tube that had 2 powders, heat it up and wait until the first plateau, then switch and repeat again):</div><div>Manually Separate: doesn't work<br>Evaporating Dish(reverse from liquid to powder into powder to liquid):<br>Funnel(have two tubes full of water and pour the powder into the test tubes and pour both into a funnel and see what is left at the top of the funnel):<br>IDENTIFY<br>Mirco-Melting(record first observations, use 100mL beaker of water, heat slowly, check hole in capillary tube, if difficult to get powder in capillary tube...grind up the powder):<br>Evaporating Dish(place powder in dish and heat it up to 300C, see if the powder turns black-decomposed...stays the same...or if it melts):<br>Acid Test(place a small amount of powder into the watch glass and add two drops of acid and see if there is bubbling or smoke):<br>Solubility in water/alcohol(use 10mL of water, collect little bit if the solid and shake and see if it is insoluble or soluble-same with alcohol):</div>]]></description>
