Because behind them there are a lot of meanings and emotions that Kuwaiti people stand for till this day . During the war some Kuwaiti citizens decided to leave the country for their own safety , although others wanted to stay and defend their land , one of the Kuwaiti people that lived in Al-Qurain grouped up with the other people that wanted to defend their country and made his own house an army camp . Fast forwarding to the future they are now remembered and the house that once was an army camp is now a museum that reflects and shows the most important thing in Kuwaiti heritage . The museum isn't like no other museum its still decorated with the war effects and is all damaged . Paying our respects to the people that have influenced us is important in Kuwaiti tradition, so some people go there to pay their respects for what some people including my self call heroes of our country . Al-Othman houses is a group of museums in one museum ,and there are many important and historic sections in Kuwait. Among the important places is the Kuwait Airways site, which told about the history of airlines and mentioned the story of the hijacking of the Kuwaiti Jabriya plane. And there is a section of Failaka Island, which tells about the lives of its inhabitants before the Iraqi invasion, how they lived and the way their homes were. There is a section for stuffed birds and animals, and a section for wild animals present in the State of Kuwait, and many sections in which the most famous Kuwaiti plays were held, which is a play darab alzulaq . The Othman House Museum was made of clay, palm leaves and roots of some plants. It was opened in the year 2013 and its address is located in the Hawalli region. The location of Al-Mubarakiya is at the Kuwait city which is very easy everyone can reach it without being lost. People travel to learn about the country's tradition and civilization so I chose Al-Mubarakiya as an example of these places. Another reason to visit it is that the stores there sell classic Kuwaiti stuff. The traditional Kuwaiti clothes which is called the Dishdasha for men and Abaya for womens and more of the sandals can be found there. Some stores sell incense and arabic perfumes that smells so special. There is a space of the kids to play and have fun especially when their moms wanna enjoy their shopping alone. The restaurants there are mostly make Kuwaiti food such as chicken machbous and zubaidi fish. Visitors from out of Kuwait can make money exchange at the teller shops. I love going to Al-Mubarakiya because I like the vibes there especially in winter as it is almost outdoor place so I can enjoy the place at the highest. In the same area, there was a castle owned by a cruel ruler named Shihab al-Shihab, in which he wore golden shoes, and once he had cut an innocent child in half to test his sword’s sharpness. As a result of his vicious deed, god destroyed his city, and the oppressive ruler perished. Years after this incident, Al-Qurainiya area became a village inhabited by people, a cemetery for Muslims, and castle’s remnant. The area has been deserted for years and there are only traces of this area. Al-Qurainiyah is located north of Failaka Island, about 20 kilometers from Kuwait’s capital city. Al-Qurainiya has a long interesting history, it is a great place for sightseeing and good place to explore.
