Then Greg is really frustrated because he has no friend to carry his books to school and no body for poop duty on the way to school because of a dog, so he decides to take a different rout to school but he just runs into more problems. Then Greg finds a kid at school named Fregly, and Greg tries to mold him into the same friend as Rowly but it totally backfires and Fregly becomes a really popular kid. Next Greg's extended family comes over spring break, and they do not get along. But in the process Greg finds a magic 8-ball under a bed, and starts making most of his decisions with it but eventually it just brings more horrible luck. Finally Greg gets a job at school as a photographer and he had to make a cutest couple photo with Rowly and Abigail but he decides to make them look really funny.
