No Socks Policy and No Blanket/Pillow Policy during naptime in the name of hygiene and safety, they seem to overlook aspect of children’s comfort and sense of security.

For my kids, pillow are part of their emotional regulation. It also feels somewhat at odds with the nurturing environment the school has said to be striving for.

Hi, this question is for Ms Goh on primary school availability for resident staying around Dakota. Our nearest school here is Kong Hwa but there is always insufficient slot for the resident here. This year ballot for 2B is around 50% chance and 2C is 40% chance. 61 families are left disappointed without a slot in Kong Hwa this year at phase 2C. When 2C failed, even Canossa Catholic is over subscribed at phase 2Cs. Leaving our assigned school to be more than 2km away from here. More over, school bus are getting more expensive too if we can't get into a school within walking distance.

In 3 to 4 years time, our kids here will be going to P1. With the additional resident from Dakota One, Dakota Crescent and Grand Dunman, the situation will probably get worst.

May I know will there be plans to improve the situation so that our kids can enter a primary school that is near to our house, so that they can have more sleep and focus better in school?

Is there a reason why the turnover rate for N1 honesty is so high? There’s also a lack of updates about teachers leaving and new teachers coming in. School updates have also dropped drastically because of that. There should be more accountability with regards to this because our children need stability and shouldn’t have to keep going through new teachers.

I have concerns on the blanket and pillows policy, it was stated that that's for hygiene purposes, but what's the difference when kids bring in their own jackets to wear? Moreover, the pillows and blankets give my kid a sense of security.

I'm rather concern at the low manpower in the classes right now as my kid reflect to me that some other kid was pulling my kid's hair and when my kid tried to look for the teachers they were busy attending to the other children, will the issues with high turnover and low headcount improve?

Don’t really agree with the no blanket no pillow policy for hygiene as it serves as a sense of security and comfort for our kids during nap time. We do hear our kid telling us that the cot is rough and hard and having the pillow/blanket previously was helpful. Would be great if the school can reconsider this policy. Thank you.
