Their first emperor, Augustus, had gained more power than an normal emperor over his time of ruling.This helped the other emperors after him in many ways but this also came with many selfish rulers. As for laws, they were a very important key in the empire staying alive for the few years that it remained.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Colosseum was an oval amphitheater in the center of Rome, Italy. The Colosseum was built in 69 AD when emperor Vespasian ruled. It was completed during 80 AD when his heir ruled. The Colosseum had people fight animals and each other in it or something called the "petaurua" or seesaw that would lift you about 15 feet high in the air! While men would try not to fall, wild animals will be on the ground killing anyone the falls.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Roman arches were used to hold heavy weight on them. The arch was first built using a frame then when you put the last piece of the arch, it equally distributes weight onto them allowing it to hold heavier stuff. More bricks were laid on top of them and channels were used on them for aqueducts. Ancient Greek and Egyptians didn't have arches so they had limited space for things.</div>]]></description>

Sewers not only gets rid of the waste but also dumps it into the river. The sewers were made using stone and every latrine was connected to it.</div>]]></description>
