Location: The Windmill area (near the lake).

The Clue: I have giant arms but no muscles. I eat the breeze and give back flour. I am the oldest form of "green energy" in the village.

Sustainable Connection: Renewable Energy. Before electricity, villagers used the wind and water to do the heavy lifting.

Healthy Living Tip: Traditional whole-grain flour (ground by stone) retains all its nutrients compared to modern processed flour.

Location: The sheepfold or a weaver’s household from the Maramureș or Sibiu area.

The Clue: Look for a place where "Sheep's Gold" is turned into clothes. No plastic or polyester here – just warmth from the mountain.

Sustainable Connection: Natural Materials. Wool is biodegradable, fire-resistant, and lasts a lifetime. It's the ultimate "slow fashion."

Tradition: Notice the opinci (leather shoes). They allowed the foot to breathe and move naturally on the earth.

Location: The watermills from the Danube Delta or the Apuseni Mountains.

The Clue: I sit upon the water and let the current turn my heart. I am made entirely of wood and stone - no metal screws required.

Sustainable Connection: Biodegradability. When these mills "retire," they return to the earth without leaving a trace of pollution.

Healthy Living Tip: Walking between these distant households is the traditional "peasant gym." It is the largest open-air museum in Europe, so keep those steps going!

I stay cool in the summer heat and warm in the winter frost without a single AC unit.

Sustainable Connection: Natural Insulation. Cob (clay and straw) and thatch (reeds) are carbon-neutral building materials that regulate humidity naturally.

Healthy Living Tip: Natural homes "breathe," preventing the mold and toxins often found in modern synthetic paints and concrete.

I grow upwards toward the sun and downwards into the dark soil. I am "Zero Kilometers" from your plate.

Sustainable Connection: Permaculture. Villagers grew what they ate, used animal manure as fertilizer, and saved seeds for the next year.

Healthy Living Tip: Eating seasonally and locally isn't a trend here; it’s the way of life.

Plan a route first. Don't just run to the first clue. Spend 5 minutes looking at the physical map at the entrance to chart a continuous loop (e.g., starting at the windmills, heading around the lake to the watermills, looping up into the hills for the sheepfold/Maramureș houses, and coming back through the plains).

Use the ASTRA App. The museum has an official app with a digital map and GPS tracker. It is helpful for finding exactly which sector you are standing in.(https://muzeulastra.ro/en/muzeul-astra-app/)

Split the Tasks. Have one person map out the next destination while the rest of the group is taking photos and writing the captions for the current spot!
