What are the major components of Solid Waste globally?

As it is known the waste is trash or garbage. It is all the waste that people and the environment throw to the floor and it stays there for a long or few time, it depends in what is it. The mostly components are the paper, cans, pesticides, chemicals, bottles, plastic, batteries even construction and demolition waste are some components of solid waste.

What are the major problems with placing waste in landfills?

Landfills are created by land dumping. Disposal methods generally involve the dumping of waste into an area, usually a hole or slope. After throwing away the waste, they are compacted with large machines. When the discharge cell is full, it is sealed with a plastic sheet and covered with several feet of dirt. The major problem is that even if they put everything underground it is still waste for the world and people just can´t throw it underground so they think that it wouldn´t affect anymore, even if it is down, in the street it can still affect us.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of waste disposal combustion?

Some advantages are that those waste some of them can be useful another time and not only be consider like trash and don´t use it again in your life. There are other things that can be recycled again and it needs to be throw it out, but people should start to throw the garbage where it needs to be and not only anywhere you want. Some disadvantages is that some wastes are very difficult to undo and that it takes a very long time to destroy the material and that can hurt the planet can make that some animals get sick or that an environment start to deteriorate because of that material that takes too long to destroy.

What are the environmental advantages of recycling?

The advantages of recycling mainly are that people can use again what they don´t use anymore, they can even recycle their clothes even with plastic bottles or only other material that can be recycled again. There are many materials that can be used again and not only throw it to the garbage like if it is not useless anymore.

Examples of materials that can be recycled:

Food waste, paper, jars, bottles, metals, clothes, batteries, plastic, cans, and many other materials can be recycled to be used another time again.

References:

Environmental Protection Agency.
