 Is that when he steps out of his office he sees dogs fighting with only one dog. Billy had to do something because he didn't want  the animal control to pick up a dead dog. Also he didn't want the dog to die because another dog gave his life for Billy. When he was about to do something about it a old red bone hound was right be hind him. Billy didn't do anything  and just waited. The old red bone hound got hurt and the other dog had died. 

Chapter 2
After that expierence of the red bone hound Billy decided to get two hounds . He ask's his parents but hey dont have the money to buy two hounds. Billy was sad that he didn't get the hounds. He walks into a paper and that says "houds for sale $25:00 each so fro two he needs $50. So he worked for two years and then got all the money. When he was little he never wanted hounds but now that he saw the paper he wanted 2 hounds. He asked his parents for them but they couldnt afford it . So when he saw the paper he worked for 2 years just to get 2 hounds .
