Sorting Shape:

Students create simple rules to sort mixed shapes into groups. They write their "sorting algorithm" on paper:

Like:

If it has 3 sides, put it in the triangle pile.

If it has 4 equal sides, put it in the square pile.

Students test their algorithm by following their own rules exactly, then trade algorithms with a partner and follow their classmate's sorting rules. Debug if needed.
