          In this section I was very worried about everything that was happening outside of the Annex and I could not process all of the things that was happening around me. My mother was not being very generous because I am trying to be nice and to not be rude to anybody but she just takes me being nice the wrong way and then thinks that I am being snotty. But it will be fine eventually, once we all get used to the living situation.

(page 79) I think that this quote is important for this section because Anne is thinking about how they are lucky they have a place to hide but this is also meaning that she thinks they are being somewhat selfish because they only let some people stay with them.
