Parental control plays a big part in the short story as it is what causes Peter and Wendy to become hostile toward their parents. A parent should have the authority to set boundaries for their children without controlling every aspect. What I mean by this is that parents should serve more as guidance for their children because in the end, the goal for all parents is to see their children become independent. If parents give too little control, when the time comes that they would need to correct or guide their children, the child may react in a negative way, similar to how Wendy and Peter did. In contrast, if parents are too controlling, children may end up ignoring their parents and miss important advice.

There should be a certain limit of control a parent should have. Too much control often leads to the child having less respect towards the parent and/or the child relying on the parent more often leading to a lack of experience in self managing. To little then the child could become disobedient.

Parental control is extremely important when raising kids and has a life long impact on a kid's character and the way that they act. I believe that parents shouldn't be completely controlling or give their kid total freedom and the amount of control parents have should be in between. The consequences of having too much parental control is that the kid will grow up sheltered with little freedom and independence. It also might cause them to grow to resent their parents for controlling every little thing that they do. However, by using too little parental control, the kids will not learn right from wrong and will think they can do anything they want without consequences.

I think that the children are extraordinarily angry with their parents because they're not used to getting their wishes rejected. The kids grew up getting everything done for them and whatever they wanted. Because they lived in such a high tech house, the technology nursed them, fed them, washed them, helped them with everything that parents were supposed to do for their kids, and basically raised them. I think Peter has more built up anger than his sister because he's a boy and boys tend to be more rebellious than girls are. Technology influences young minds because technology has no limit and sympathy, unlike humans, therefore they're unable to teach children the same things that parents would be able to teach their kids.

I don't think the children realize what they have done. I think this is because they have grown up in a room of simulations, this has tainted their perception of what's real and what's fake. They don't understand the danger of certain situations, and the lasting effects of crucial decisions. They've simulated the death of their parents before and then woke up the next day to see them again. Which is why I believe the kids don't realize the reality of the situation.

Even now, although technology has improved human lives greatly it has also revealed some disadvantages. It has become an issue that too many kids spend too much time on their devices like phones or computers. And because of this kids don't go outside and play like children used to. Playing outdoors and socializing with other kids has proven to be beneficial and without that kids will develop differently.

They lived such a closeted life and didn't really have to rely on their parents to take care of them since the house did everything for them. Consequently, the children don't have a personal relationship with their parents that they cherish, so they might not see anything wrong with killing them.

I believe that Bradbury used the African veldt as a setting specifically because it's the best environmental representation of the emotions of the children. The burning sun conveys their displeasure in general, while the animals also support this idea. However, it's possible that the lions, which are the most prominent animals, represent what kind of relationship the kids may want with their parents, one based on guidance and mutual respect.

Parents raise the child and give them the values, so when a parent doesn't give them those values or relies on someone else to care for the child, the child is going to think of that someone else or of themselves as the parent. A parent shouldn't have full control of their child, but they shouldn't let the child go around freely; for example, too much would be controlling who they are friends with, what they like to do, and for them to live the life that you want them to live while too little control would be allowing them to slack off in everything. There are a lot of varying consequences, but the one that applies to both is that the child will learn to resent the parents. If they had too much control, they would close themselves off and not share anything with their parents while if they had too little, they would end up slacking off with no one to guide them through life.

The children know what they did to their parents, but they don't care. The relationship between the parents and the children is almost nothing. It's as if the parents are figurehead parents, because in reality it is the technology in the house that actually takes care of the children. Because of this, it doesn't matter to the children if their parents died, because as long as they have their house, they will be able to survive and also keep the nursery. Also, the children purposefully set their parents up by luring them into the nursery. They knew that their parents were going to die, and they killed them with the one thing the children love most, the nursery, like they're using it as a weapon to defend themselves. It was also mentioned by George himself that Peter has a high IQ. If Peter has a high IQ, then he must've understood what happened. The children also seem to be very precocious so that's another reason for why they would understand what they've done.

The parental control in the story was very limited. George and Lydia didn't really do much to Peter and Wendy. A parent should have a good chunk of control because it would overall make the children behave as well as prepare them for the real world. Consequences of too much control is that the child might disobey or have a grudge against their parent, making the situation even worse. Having too little control will result in the child being inexperienced to the real world as well as not having discipline.

Bradbury chose the setting of the African veldt and predatory lion because the lion is the king of all animals. Most people see the lion as the king of the jungle, and Bradbury might have been saying that animals which do not rely on technology are superior to the humans which are relying on the technology. In addition, the lion being a predator piles on the idea that humans are inferior and prey to the lions which prey on us.

Parental control plays a crucial role due to the extreme influence they have on the children at such an immature age. More specifically, the lack of the parental figures doing their job results in their poor relationship. In fact, the parents in the story decided to let technology overrule the children, thus resulting in the disappearance of mutual respect from a parent. By relying on the nursery as parenting and entertaining, the children and parents were extremely different.

Peter has used the nursery so much to get what he wants that the room has become more of a parent figure as he has rarely known hardship. The children have overused the room, replacing the parents, so the children are getting angry because their "parent" is getting threatened.

Their parents hardly control their kids and allow the technology of the house to do everything for them.

I believe Bradbury chose the setting of the African veldt because it can be easily imagined. Not many people have seen Africa, but a great hot grassland is simple to see, making for a visible setting. Bradbury chose to make the lion the main predator as lions naturally have a superior sense in their name. Lions are commonly known to be at the top of the food chain, making Bradbury choose him to be at the top of the food chain. The lions are a blatant symbol of power and everyone knows it, making it the perfect choice as it is an animal everyone should fear.

The parents of Peter and Wendy went from minimal parental control to maximum control which angered the children. Having too little control can cause the child to believe they can do whatever the please without having to face the consequences. Having too much control can cause the child to be secretive and distant from the parents making them more likely to do stuff behind their parents back. There should be a middle-ground relationship.

There shouldn't be a child who has no restrictions at all, but at the same time more restrictions restrict the child's thinking as well. Many people use technology to do things for our own convenience, such as laundry, dishes, math, and eventually, literally everything. Technology is still developing today and will progress even further than what humans can even think of. Which humans prior to the 21st century would've thought that we would have a tiny little device that can do so much in our pockets everyday? This still applies to the people living today. Innovators are creating technology that is more and more capable, and could even convey human emotions. Once this happens, technology will surpass humanity and possibly doom our race.

Their parents relied on the technology too much that their children became used to having it they did not want it to be turned off and in turn, they turned on their parents. A parent should have enough control that their children listen to them but the children should also have some freedom. If a parent has too much control, the child might end up resenting them and won't want to be around them. If they have too little control, then children will become spoiled and feel as if they are allowed to do anything they want.

Lydia and George spoiled the kids by giving them so much technology that they didn’t have to do anything for themselves. Because of this technology the kids became almost robotic. However there is a flip side to this, if parents are too controlling over their kids, they can become unhappy and might feel like their parents are just a big weight holding them down and pressuring them.

The children, especially Peter, were angry at the parents because of their restrictions on technology. The parents wanted to shut off all technology because of the children's dependence on it. As of now, we don't have much research on how technology effects young minds, but we can see the some of the consequences from too much screen time. Children today aren't forming connections with other children, they don't learn the social skills necessary to life, and they miss out on emotional and mental growth.

In this short story, there was very little parent control. It seemed that the parents let the house parent their kids. I feel that the younger kids, such as Wendy and Peter, do need their parents to teach them life lessons. The older the kids get, the more independent they become, so the parent should have less control. Teenagers with stricter parents are more likely to rebel against them, while teens with good relationships and chill parents are less likely to rebel.

I believe Bradbury chose the setting of the African veldt as the setting because it is very exotic and also easy to imagine. I think it supports the crazy idea of the nursery because it is an incredible landscape that is so different than the United States. The reason he made it such a different setting is because it helps show how advanced the technology is. Also, he helps show more advanced technology with other examples such as the dinner table.

I believe the children are so angry with their parents because they took away the nursery. The nursery to these children is almost like a Xbox or a television if looked at in today's eyes, the children's entertainment. When a child is surrounded by so much technology, they rely on it like a drug. The parents taking it away made them very angry.

Considering the twisted and gruesome ending, I don't think the children realize the fact that they had just fed their biological parents to lions. As stated by the parents throughout the story, the mechanical house was more like a parental figure to the kids than they ever were. Both children were fed, bathed, nursed, and cared for solely by the house and not their actual parents. So in the kids' mind, the house has a deeper connection to their heart as a parental figure than their real parents. Unlike humans, robots don't feel emotions and em

It is clear in the story that the parents only have so much parental control in this case it is mainly in discipline and consequences. The rest of the control is given to the house/technology by the parents in hopes for better life. This ultimately backfired for them in the end. Parental control is necessary for the proper growth of a child, once the control is given to someone or something else the control that he parents have is lost and can lead to resentment and lost trust in others. I think this applies to the story because when the parents weren't caring for the kids the house was like a safe haven and a strong bond was created between the kids and the house especially the nursery.

The children are angered with their parents because growing up, they were essentially raised by the nursery and technology. So, when the parents try to take away the one thing the children were influenced by, they felt like their parents were the "bad guy." I think this is the same situation here.

I don't think the children understand what they've done to their parents at all. They trapped their parents in a room for lions to kill them and remained so calm as if nothing had ever happened. Wendy and Peter had no emotional connection between their parents which is why they were so calm and care- free. Even the parents admitted that the house was closer with the children than they were. Since the house did everything for them, they became attached to the house and formed a strong connection for it.

The children do not realize what they are doing to their parents. This is because they have not yet experienced the hardships of life and do not know what it means to be challenged. Although Peter has experienced what its like to be bad at something, he is too spoiled when coming to anything. This results in him changing his view of his own parents and the nursery. By protecting the nursery, he protects his own "parent", resulting in the tragic resolution of the story.

I believe the children did not know what they did to their parents. I think they were more focused on not letting the nursery shut down. They were tunneled vision on the fact that they will not have anymore time with the nursery. Since they are children, they are still naive and have no experience to what may happen.

The children where angry with their parents because they were going to take their only source of entertainment and life. In the story they describe the children as "living" for the nursery. Peter never got the attention or love that a normal child should get. He used the nursery to drift off and use it for has something to "live" for. Technology can influence young minds by getting them too attach to their technology, not letting anyone take it away from them.
