Today is the first day of the PDC training. Warm up and training session are very interesting . Following days I will adapt animal game activity for my own PDC training. We trained subjects we'got familiar to like reflective thinking. It is a kind of self essesment. We shared our ideas about the sessions by reflecting on the materials and activities that have been covered and the related to their teaching and learning contexts. Sharing is caring. We talked about benefits of PDC like sharing, caring, cooperation, reflection.Action bound is really useful for an icebreaker but sadly i wont use it because of the technological facts in my local school.
We learned about learning circle of PDC. It is necessary for the planing it. I'm learning to do it slowly.

In second day, we had an opion about the relationship of teaching and learning by choosing a photo from four photos. They was hanged on the board. Then we claimed why did we choose it to our groups.Think-Pair-Share is effective for pre-listening activities. Gender is not important for teaching English. Our behaviors are mostly significant to love English. If we smile, they smile. They are completely innocent. We should good model to our students and also encourage them to understand the whole context by meanings not words. We should start the students with general subject then detailed ones. Start wide to narrow down.

Today is about developing oral skills. We sould identify the skills and knowledge children need to use English communicatively. We talked about effectiveness of dialogues in local coursebook. We should adapt it to make them more child-friendly. For young learners we should use close ended questions and we should use tiny reminder feedbacks. We can use mini-survey to encourage the ones that is not good at speaking. It is necessary to use simple and short dialogues to understand a clear context. We should'nt long sentences. More simple is better. We should also clear and child-friendly context suggested by pictures. We should use social language. In last session, we tried to adapt a dialogue in our local coursebook We did it in pair-work and explain to others. We made a differentition according to student levels. We also presented it. at last. It was enjoyable for me.

Do you think Shared Reading is a suitable 9procedure to use with L2 children?Why/Why not?
Yes actually today I really like caterpillar story while using shared reading because young learners like visual materials and while telling some kind of story to the students make them to listen. So we will have advantage both using listening and speaking activities. I can use this activity on following days for my students.
Is there anything in the sessions today that to find out more about?
Yes,today I found Binglish text interesting and according to my students level,I will simplify it like consisting maximum three sentences. And maybe I will use some kind ordering activity

This session was about both writing and managing the classroom. We got a lot of necessary information on writing. It is effective to give students different options to write about not only one topic maybe it's visuals. Also we should try group writing on topics like songs, stories or poems if they want to. We can adapt it to our classes maybe giving some pictures to want them to write a sentence about it.
Maintaining a balance between children's enjoyment and acceptable behavior is often one of the greatest challenges that primary language teachers face. What do you think? How do you manage this challenge?
It's an important problem that we face.We should attrack children's attention by using favorite activities what they want. It is most important to behave positively but also give the rulers. While teaching and writing I'll use some cards which includes some instructions about writing. Those cards should have some pictures and some practical things. We should have responsibilies, rules and routines in necessary situations in classroom.

Yes,today we learned more about managing the classroom. It's an decision teachers makes regarding to learners, themselves, physical environment and resourses available to them. It must support the aims of class. The teacher must speak calmly and build self-esteem confidence. They must manage the time, adapt the students to the activity. If we want to do these, we must use some techniques or tips like communication positively, sharing, enjoyment, cooperation ve good behaviour. That makes the environment that we'll manage our PDCs positively.
Are there any other elements of classroom management in your PDCs that you will have to think about (managing Feedbacks for example)?
Regarding of their ages, immediete feedback in a negative way will make them a shame and less confidence. We should make the environment positively.

1.What do you consider the benefit of being in a Professional Development Community for teachers of English in your local context?

For teachers, studying PDC is a great opportunity to improve oneself in many areas. They will be able to improve the teaching and learning of English locally. They will be able to collabarate to each other effectively and they share ideas and practices, try to solve their problems of teaching. They also learn actively. It provides peer learning like the students in the classroom. The most important benefit of PDC training is to improve the quality of teaching and learning.
2.How do you plan to benefit from the networks you have built throughout the training when you establish a PDC in your area?
Creating a group on WhatsApp and Telegram is the most effective way to do this job. First of all, I will inform them about the meeting we will hold. Where and when will the meeting take place, why do we need such training? In this way, they will be able to share their thoughts with each other easily. Also they will be able to share techniques, methods and good practices in later sessions. I plan to keep in touch with my mentors through zoom meeting.,WhatsApp group to to inform you about our own PDC meetings.
3.How do you expect the PDC sessions in the programme would help you deal with possible problems about planning and conducting PDCs in your teaching context?
We will be able to share with friends about our plans before the PDC meetings. After our meetings, we will be able to make criticism with our friends and you.
