Here in school, I find my way—

Not for praise, just to get through the day.

No sleep at night, so much to do,

I try to break free, start something new.

Lots of doubts, quiet tears fall,

Worries all the time, they haunt me all.

But still, I try, though tired and sad,

For a little hope, to not feel so bad.

I smile outside, but inside I hurt,

I hide my pain, try not to cry.

I try to be strong, be kind and good,

And face each day, like I know I should.

It's hard to grow, it's all a mess—

It fades away, this hard stress.

But my life just starts, I want to shine,

Like a bright sun, make my life fine.

A student, dreamer—always fighting,

To make my dreams real, keep things righting.

When I fall down, I get back up.
