         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>The National Healthcare Model is one of the four basic models that represents the health care system. </li><li>The National Healthcare insurance system is a system that uses private-sector providers which is part of the economy that is controlled by private groups. </li><li>However, the “payments come from a government-run insurance program that every citizen pays into” (Reid.2009). </li><li>This is because, NHI is funded by the government through general taxes although the delivery of care is by private providers.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <title>The United Kingdom vs. The United States Health Care System</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>The healthcare system of the United States, and United Kingdom closely represent the extremes. </li><li>The former has the largest private sector system, while the latter has one of the largest public sector system.</li><li>Healthcare in the U.S. is delivered almost exclusively by private sector providers. </li><li>About 84 percent of the U.S. population has access to health care through the combination of private health insurance, as well as Medicare, and Medicaid programs. </li><li>The U.K. health care system has far less variation in health outcomes across its population than does the U.S. </li><li>In terms of financial fairness, the U.K. is also ranked higher than the U.S. This outcome is a direct result of the United Kingdom’s national tax based system versus the private risk-based financing in the U.S. system. </li></ul><div> <br><br></div>]]></description>
