• I.　Haon's mother, the Late Dowager Viscountess Armina Cho, died shortly after giving birth. And so, raising him fell not into the hands of the late Viscount but unto the staff who had been hired primarily for his dead wife's postpartum care. Despite being employed under a tyrannical liege, the Ahn family's house staff adored Haon. He became the light of their life while they worked tirelessly day-to-day. They forgave him for his youthful follies and curiosities, often allowing him to indulge in his whims and adventurousness. And in turn, he offered them his undying loyalty despite having very little influential power in his tiny, tightly-held fists.

  
  

  Because of the freedom he'd been handed at such a young and impressionable age, Haon developed an irreversible inquisitiveness early on. Any interests that took possession of him, he studied with the fervent conviction of a seasoned scholar and became reluctant to relinquish or allow any area of delicious pursuit to slip through his grasp. No one in his life, not even the house staff of Penrose Hill, truly had the power to force him out of such distracting domains. Much to his great fortune, his father never truly managed to kill this kind of hunger in him, no matter the amount of times the late viscount withheld knowledge from his only son and heir.
