5. Free-writes/journals are something I struggle with as an assignment but try to do for personal cathartic reasons. I struggled a lot in English classes growing up-- not for a lack of understanding but for a lack of interest. I was only into the material when my teacher was extremely passionate about the material. 

6. I'm from the Upper West Side (borderline Morning Side Heights/Columbia area). My family is from the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
