Everyone knows that the Fendi baguette was changed by the show of sex and the city after it aired. the show made the bag lets just say (well in my opinion anyways).
But the bag is most known from the character Carrie Bradshaw in the show; that was played by the famous now actress Sarah Jessic Parker. The bag became a significant peice to the show.
The show and this amazing, fashionable character made the bag the 'IT bag' of the 90's as well as the early 2000's (also known to be the Y2K style to this day).

Here i have research and found out that the Fendi baguette bag was called this name as it will be carried by women under the arm like a French baguette would be carried.
- The bag was designed in 1997.
- By Silvia Venturini Fendi
_ at first they though the bag was a terrable desgin as it was too colouful, exuberant, small - very small, and not funtional for the veryday use.
- After the bag ws launched more then 100k where sold in the first year worldwide.
- what made this bag style so iconic and historic as of the show 'sex and the city'.

The role of this fashionista was played by the amazing and iconic Sarah Jessica Parker. Shes a 55 year old journalist, living in he big apple (p.s New York City) dating Mr Big. She as a character became a huge icon as of the outfits that she created, they gave inspiration to that everyday women watching the show on a cold evening after work - lets just say that.

some of her quotes became = "so many roads. so many detours. so many choices. so many mistakes". "shopping is my cardio" - so it is my girl dont you worry.
"its not a bag its a baguette!".

how did she change fashion and just women in general? =
women started to take notice of the desginers that where worn on the show. such as Manolo Blahnik (if you think about this, it was a huge advantage for the brand as it gained popularity as well as worldwide notice.
And to this day the younger generation of the 21st century wear the personalised Dior necklaces (maybe because of TikTok?). But this trend was worn or shall i say even created by Carrie.
She also influenced lots of fashion stylists with clothing items such as the satin/silk slip dress, a leg cut out detail, the newpaper print, fur coats and lounge wear, flower patterns, making dramatic casual.

The name means that the bags from that collection or having that name to them, means that the bags have been released before.
the brand made their classic shoulder bags come back from the years off 2000, 2005 and 2006.
But the classic mini shoulder bags became he hype not only in the Uk but also Globally.
The bags are made in the brands iconic nylon materail (that some will disagree as hy would you pay a huge price tag for a nylon bag when for the same price you can buy a luxury leather one). because of this later on the brand came up with the bags in Saffiano leather, what is the leather that the company is known for (like its their thing if you get me).

Miuccia Prada desgined this collection as she worked for the fashion house family since 1978.

The prada re-edition 2000 is the one closesist to the Fendi baguette style of bag.

Its the iconic Prada's nylon style of bag is stylish and durable. The bag was huge in the late 90's - early 2000's.
The bag was seen on many celebraties such as models like Bella Hadid, Gigi, Kendral Jenner and others...
When the bag first launched it became a fan favourite due to its similer baguette styel (Mmm, just with out that Fendi price tag though). As now the bag is at around the £450 market, as a fresh new Fendi baguette is around the £1.2K mark for the mini and the bigger (original Fendi baguette) can only be brought at the same price as the mini only if its vintage/second hand.
