Connection:
  • Since Vietnam has been a part of China for along time, Mongol rule in the area definitely influenced the Vietnamese culture.
  • Because of the Mongols being open to religions, it helped spread Buddhism ideas that have influenced my manners and equity. These ideas followed Vietnamese culture when it became a country

    • Old ideas such as the geocentric theory was changed to a more sensible explanation of the solar system

    • Ideas of the Renaissance and humanism affected Europe to make humanity and knowledge more important, causing the Scientific Revolution happen.
    Connection:
    • This Chapter promoted science and how it improved overtime, which greatly increased my interest in it and opened up some career choices for me
    • The Scientific Revolution was probably an event my ancestors witnessed based on their history of medical jobs
    • This chapter has greatly influenced my career choices in the science category since I originally wanted to become a doctor
