Ever since I was little, becoming a teacher was always something that interested me. During high school, I took a Introduction to Education class where I got to experience what it was like to be in a classroom. During my time observing, I was with a kindergarten class and it only enhanced my passion for teaching. I observed Mrs. Boen who had been a kindergarten teacher for many years. Throughout the year observing, Mrs. Boen taught me an incredible amount of things. I was able to be very hands on with the students and their work, as well as getting to teach a few of my own lessons to the class. After taking this class, I am only more excited to become a teacher one day!

This is my freshman year of college and my major is Elementary Education and Communication Disorders. I am very confident that becoming a teacher one day is what I am meant to do. Right now, this class is my only education related class, but I can't wait for many more to come in the future. I know my education classes will allow we more hands on experience in a classroom. While I have observed classrooms of all ages I got spend a year in a kindergarten class. While I love all elementary grades, in the future, I hope I can continue to observe in a kindergarten level classroom. I am very excited to get back into a classroom with hands on experience!

After I graduate college I hope to have a degree in Elementary Education and Communication Disorders. This will allow me the opportunity to either become a Teacher or Speech Pathologist. I have always wanted to become a teacher, so while I plan to eventually teach for a least a few years, I also want the option to do something else. This is where the Speech Pathology comes in. Speech Pathology is similar to teaching in many ways. If I were to become a Speech Pathologist, I would still be working with children which is my main goal.
