A) The reason many countries in the European Union are pushing for border barriers is to preserve their sense of nationalism and cultural identity. People often group together with those that are alike to them in cultural and heritage. As they say birds of a feather flock together. That is one of the reasons the EU is pushing for more border barriers.

B) The argument for some border barriers stems from the ongoing refugee crisis in Europe. Countries are pushing for more border barriers to combat the intense flow of refugees coming into their countries from conflicts like the Ukraine Russia war.

C) Border barriers are also important factors in preventing conflict. This is seen with the Northern Ireland and Ireland border. This border was established to prevent conflict between the Nationalists and Unionists in Ireland. This border helped to stop a conflict that lasted over 30 years and brought peace to the island Ireland. Border barriers are important tools in stoping some conflicts between counties.

One political consequence border barriers could have would be increased tensions between countries on whose the barrier resides. A fortified border could lead to a rise in council t with neighboring counties and put an increase strain on diplomatic relationships. It could show that there is a lack of trust between these two counties which could fuel conflict and cause more political disputes. One economic consequence border barriers could have between countries is a disruption in the trade flow. Border barriers could disrupt the flow of goods from one country to another making it harder for trade to occur efficiently. This could lead to economic hardships and even economic decline hurting the country with the border in place as a result.

I disagree with building border walls as they tend to do more harm than good when put in place. They often are a fuel for conflict and disrupt the flow of goods between counties. They are also a cause for cultural divides and exaggerating cultural conflicts which can strain diplomatic relationships between counties. Border barriers are a cause for many of the ethnic and cultural conflicts today are only creating more the longer they are kept in place. That is why I disagree with building more border walls.

A) One argument for barriers is that without them people might feel threated for their nationality. Barriers helps define the differences in regional culture, usually housing only a few main cultures in the borders which differ from other states separated by the borders.

B) A second argument is that unity does not work with differing ideas, borders work as a compromise between those ideas with the allowance of sovereignty for decisions. This is especially seen when dealing with migration and refugees.

C) The third argument is that borders provide peace separating areas that cannot get along due to political or social reasons. The barriers acts as a compromise to physical or political war.

2) Borders can politically cause tensions between two opposing states or make it difficult for the two states to communicate due to the physical barriers. The wall may covey to another county distrust if there is not already established distrust. An economic consequence is that it would create a longer process to handle imported and exported food across the wall. This would require separate state funding not beneficial to all parties involved.

3) I disagree with building a border wall in most cases because the walls add to the narrative that the states involved with the wall will not get along and that there are no other ways of coming to a solutions. Walls do not benefits most citizens limiting how they can travel but also how they can market and sell goods.

a) The argument in the article was that the Europeans wanted to keep their people and culture unified without the interference of other cultures. Thye believe in preserving their identity and culture, so the flood of migrants that bring their culture with them poses a risk to the Europeans who want to keep their culture unified amongst them, thus the reason for the border.

b) The argument was the border should be established to control the flow of illegal immigrants and refugees from surrounding European countries. The refugees and immigrants are overwhelming the nations resources so they're building and protecting walls to protect Europe from the influx of refugees.

c) The argument for the video was the borders could be made to establish peace among their people. They believe that the border could be a wall to separate the differences in opinions and totally avoid conflict between the UK and Ireland.
One political consequence of building borders is the diplomatic tensions between countries and the results of a fortified border with armed guards. This can cause a strain in the relationship between the two countries and possible tensions within those countries due to the border. An economic consequence is that borders could interfere and possibly reduce with trade and the flow of goods. The reduced flow of trade and goods could strain the country's economy because they aren't making as much money from the trade due to the border.
I disagree with building a border because borders, especially a heavily guarded border, can symbolize a lack of trust between two countries and that can cause misunderstandings and tension in their relationship. It can also disrupt trade and the flow of goods between countries which in turn would affect their economy negatively. The increased strain and tension between both countries can lead to violence and war which will just hurt the citizens of the countries and can impact neighboring countries too. Coming to a comprise will benefit both countries and their people.

A.) In the article the conflict I observed had to do with many Europeans wanting to keep their culture preserved without any influence of outside cultures so with the large sums of immigrants coming into Europe with different cultures it ultimately posed a threat to European culture.
B.) To counter this Europeans believed the border should be established to monitor the movement of immigrants, refugees, and illegal immigrants from the outer countries that surrounded them. In addition they are building walls because these migrants are posing a threat to their resources.
C.) In the video the argument conveyed that borders could be established to transpire peace among the people. To include they believed they could avoid conflict from the UK and Ireland because the borders would serve to divide their differences and opinions.
One political consequence includes that borders can increase tensions between neighboring countries thus it could also make it harder to communicate for the two countries since there is now a physical barrier that prevents or conveys unclear communication by distrust.
I disagree with building walls that serve as a border between countries since it create a sense of distrust and unclear communication between the neighboring countries. Building borders between countries also interferes with goods being imported and exported. Not only can borders slow down trade but they can also cause cultures to be divided based off of where they are placed and the differences the people already share that may already cause them to want to split. However in some cases it may benefit to establish a border but politically speaking it really only does more harm than good since it causes distrust.

A-In the article the conflict that many Europeans faced was them wanting to keep their culture unique and preserved without interference from other cultures, but a lot of immigrants were migrating into Europe. With the large amounts of immigrants moving into Europe it could break apart their culture and they were afraid of this, so they are pushing for borders. Therefore, they are pushing for a border to preserve their cultural identity.

B-Another argument for borders is that they should be established to control/get rid of refugees coming into Europe from other countries. Many refugees were coming over from Russia and Ukraine from the war, and if borders were made it would stop the influx of refugees.

C-This video says that borders should be built because they help keep peace amount people because they can separate conflicts between different cultures or groups of people.

2-One political consequence of building a border could be increased tension and conflict between countries. While it may seem like a border would decrease conflict and tension it could actually increase it because the other countries could get angry and them and question why they need to build a border. This could cause broken ties between countries and maybe even further conflict. An economic consequence of building a border could be how costly it is to build one. This could make governments have to tax the people more or use funds from different areas to build the border which could cause people to get mad and try to go against the government.

3-I agree with building a border because most times when a border is built it is built for a good reason. Some of these reasons are illegal immigration, drug smuggling, and increased amounts of refugees entering a country. These all would hurt a countries economy so I agree that if a border is needed, they should be allowed to build one.
