On page 74 it says that Dan and Amy's mom wrote follow Franklin so Grace knew all the clues way before the contest even started so she might have given clues of one of the 39 clues to Dan and Amy.

2. Irina and Ian and Natalie's secret meeting-Valon

On page 77 in Irina's point of view she had a meeting with Ian and Natalie and I think they might have a connection with each other that the book does not tell us about because it states "Back when they were ten and seven, perhaps Irina could've overpowered them. Now they were fourteen and eleven... a very different story indeed."

After the meeting with Ian and Natalie Irina was asked to eliminate Dan and Amy on page 82 but she does not even try to so I think maybe she never really cares about what people want her to do and she just does what she wants to.

On page 83 Dan and Amy got an envelope from Mr. McIntyre but how could he have known where Dan and Amy lived because Grace ever told him in the story.

On page 15(shaded)I think Grace might have left the slab there when she went there and she is rich so she can afford it.

On page 4(shaded) the Holt's were looking for the book and they said that Irina stole the book from them so that means that they had the book and they read farther through than Amy did.

I think maybe if Grace did not do that then the man in black did because he was noticed by Amy while they ran away.

I had an inference that the man in black is related to Irina Spasky because she had a picture of her and he stalks Amy and Dan like Irina stalked the Kabras.

I think maybe Franklin wrote the second clue on a bone in the catacombs that leads them to the next place Grace went.

On page 167 Alistair mentions the coordinates in the box while talking about the catacombs. I think the coordinates might be the place where the clue is in the catacombs.
