Introduction: It was a disappointing day for me as I did not get a chance to take any of the rides at Universal Studios.
It all began on the last day of school that my parents told me that during this holiday, we would be going to Universal Studios.
Rising action: On the day we went to Universal Studios, I excitedly got out of bed and brush my teeth quickly before getting into the car and head to Universal Studios.
Climax: When we arrived at Universal Studios, my excitement died down quickly because when we were about to go to Universal Studios, it started raining cats and dogs.
Falling action: My father promised me that next week we can come back to Universal Studios. However, one week later, it was raining again.My father told me that we might just forget about the plan to go Universal Studios. I was very disappointed.

Matthew had realised that he was cursed. Anything he said would come true. He realised this only when he accidentally broke his friend’s leg a day before their trip to the amusement park.

Goal! It was the middle of a football match and Matthew’s best friend, Steven, just scored a goal. His team just needed one more goal to win the game. “C’mon Steven! Good luck. Break a leg!” I yelled across the field. Steven received the ball from his teammate a was just about to score the winning goal when suddenly, out of the blue, he tripped. His laces were untied and he tripped and skidded on the pitch until he came to an abrupt stop.

He winced in pain and clutched his knee, screaming. An ominous silence followed that hung over the field. A paramedic rushed to Steven’s assistance, while I stood spectating, my jaws wide open. My skin had turned a ghostly white, recalling what I had said earlier. I got off my seat and bolted into the emergency room.

Steven lying on the bed, fainted. The paramedic was tending to his leg and informed me that he had fractured his leg. He was beating around the bush but I figure out what had happened. Dark clouds followed me over my head as I thought about our trip to the theme park tomorrow. Steven would be in crutches and would miss it.

Fortunately, he recovered in several weeks and we were able to visit the theme park another time. I guess it is true, “If the end is good then all is good.”

Introduction: One day, during recess, David and his friends, John and Daniel, were playing football in the field.

Rising Action: “John give me the ball!” David shouted, however because Daniel was trying to intercept the ball, John did not kick the ball properly.

Climax: The ball flew to David and hit him on his head, knocking him out. Daniel and John immediately ran to the General Office and called for help.

Falling Action: David woke up in the hospital, he last remembered that he was playing football when a ball suddenly flew to him and hit him on the head. His parents noticed that he woke up and called the doctor in, the doctor said he had a few injuries as the ball was big and heavy. He also said that he needed to stay in the hospital for a few more days.

Conclusion: David was disappointed as he could not go to school and meet his friends.

It was saturday. Me and my family were at home waking up. I was the first to wake up as I had known today we were going to universal studios. We didn't bother with breakfast as I had a argument as heated as a debate whether we should have breakfast here or at universal studios. Of course that isn't a question right? We decided to eat at universal studios after we spent roughly an hour arguing. “Finally” was my response after we got into the car and started to go to universal studios. The drive there was as slow as a turtle as there was so much traffic. When we arrived we took pictures of everything there , even the unexciting pictures looked exciting to us as we had never been to universal studios before. After all the pictures we finally headed to the rides which were exciting. Meanwhile at the rides ,a worker put a piece of paper on the ride control panel. At the rides we ran as fast as a leopard as we needed to ride one of the attractions. We decided on the roller coaster. Meanwhile the piece of paper on the ride control pane which we would come to realize was the roller coaster control panel, the piece of paper fluttered off gliding with the wind. As we got on the ride began to move and came to an abrupt stop at the peak of the ride. We then heard screams from the workers on the ground shrieking to try and push the ride backwards which we did. Then instead of rolling backwards started moving forward. We screamed for our lives as the ride finally came to a stop where it started. Then we got off and complained to the manager about the ride, he was fuming with anger directed to the workers and it was clear he thought his workers were slackers while we got on the car and experienced relief from the traumatic experience but deep down I was disappointed that we didn't go on as many rides.

Steve never knew it but he was a boy with a special ability. Sooner or later he would find this out.

Steve had just got back from school and was zoning out listening to music. He had always had a burning passion for it. He was listening to songs from Alan Walker, a musician he had always admired. Apart from music, he had another passion for football. He never worked out so he was pretty weak. Despite that, he still played football. Since it was a contact sport Steve would regularly get injured but he brushed it off. Some kids looked down on him resentfully even though he was better that most of them. This impacted his pride. Instead of letting this weaken him, he let it strengthen him. In three months time, he was selected for NSG. Knowing this, he trained harder than he had before. When the time had come to attend a match, he was ready.

When the whistle blue, his team started to pass and dribble with Steve almost getting a goal but was brutally tackled to the foot. This would have been a foul but strangely the referee was looking away when this happened. This happened many times over. Then the most brutal thing of the day happened. Steve was hit by a ball to the face which had the power of a truck.

One fine morning, I jolted out of bed, as happy as a lark as my parents had promised to take me to Universal Studios as it was currently my summer vacation. Out of the blue, my phone rang. It was my mother, telling me to come downstairs for breakfast. “Jimmy, breakfast is ready. Come down or it will get cold. We have to leave in an hour for our day out to Universal Studios!” As happy as a lark, I dashed out of my room as fast as a bolt of lightning. I started watching videos about Universal Studios & the rides there. When I reached the stairs, I ignored the advise taught in school not to be distracted while on the stairs and I just went down the stairs. Little did I know, I would regret this mistake after a few minutes. I accidentally skipped a stair and tumbled down onto the floor. I let out a shrill scream in agony, I felt like my legs had turned into jelly. The whole house of cards came crashing down as we wouldn’t be going to Universal Studios anymore. Instead, we’d be going to the hospital. My mother came to me and reprimanded me. We went to the hospital, the doctors told my parents I had a broken leg and needed to undergo surgery. My family and I were devastated and I had learnt my lesson never to be so carefree again. My leg was able to heal, but the emotional scar of the incident was inscribed in my memory lane. I would never make such a mistake again!

John was unable to sleep.He kept on thinking in his head”I have to get in I have to get in”
John was in English enrichment And they were having a competition. John wanted to be in the school team so that he could Participate in the competition.
However John knew that in his enrichment there was many other students were much better than him in debate such as Terry,Bob and many others.
He kept on tossing and turning in bed.
It was a Monday and he would get to know who was in the school game the next day on Tuesday.
He knew that if he did not get into the school team not only would he lose an opportunity but his friends who would have gotten into the school team who laugh at him.
He finally fell asleep
The next day in school His enrichment teacher said that he was yours for the school team.

John was told that along with him Lisa, Bob, Larry and Kyle we’re going to the competition. John had really not expected these teams here expected Terry to go instead of him

Ring!The dismissal bell rang as it was the end of school.Feeling as happy as a lark,I dashed out my school as fast as an lightning bolt.Unexpectedly,there was a puddle on the ground after the downpour rain.I was running super fast and could not stop myself.I could not wait to go to my friends birthday party.
“Thud!”I yelped as I landed on the ground.In a blink of a eye,I felt a pain going through my leg.I groaned in pain as I knew that my leg was fractured.Just then,I saw my best friend,Tom,walking towards me.”Are you feeling okay?”Tom probed.I asked,”Can you call the ambulance please?”Hearing what I asked,I saw Tom whipping out his phone and calling the ambulance
Finally, I could hear the sirens emanating from a distance.The paramedics rushed out and brought me inside the ambulance and went off.I saw the time and the time and my friend birthday party was over.Knowing that I could not go to my friend’s birthday party,I felt disappointment overwhelming me.
After this incident,I learnt that I should be careful at all times,especially in rainy days or weather.

Intro- The sky was a cloudless azure blue as the scorching sun beat upon our backs.My sister and I were thoroughly soaked in perspiration as we waited in line for the “Cyclone fillabuster”.The line was so long that we decided to buy express passes.

Rising action-We ran straight to the information desk and bought 2 express passes.We rushed off straight back to Cyclone and rode the ride without having to go into the queue. My jaws dropped wide as I glared at my result slip. I gripped the paper and yelled in infuriation and disappointment, falling to my knees in a heap like a sack of potatoes. I had failed Math and Science, much to my surprise. I shuddered just at the thought of my parents finding out. I went back to my seat very disappointed. I felt very lousy about myself, and started to recall what I had been doing the entire year.

It was the start of a fresh new year, and I was in the making of my new year’s resolutions. I had decided to turn over a new leaf and forget my negative past. I had decided to spend more time studying and revising for the PSLE examination at the end of the year. I also had a bad habit of procrastination which I did not think needed improvement.
