         <description><![CDATA[<div>Galileo used the telescope to observe things like the planet Jupiter, and noticed that Jupiter had 4 main “moons” that orbited it (today - called the Galilean moons of Jupiter…).  This supported  <strong>heliocentric</strong> model because it showed that Earth was not the only object that had bodies orbiting it.  ALso, he observed the phases of Venus, which was only observable because Venus was between the Earth and the Sun (support the <strong>heliocentric</strong> model).<br><br></div><div><br></div>]]></description>

This a formed a<strong> protostellar disk.</strong> How did the sun form from this?</div><div><br></div><div>Gravity pulled most mass to the center and friction between the mass caused a great amount of heat. <br>D. </div><ol><li>How did planets begin form (Include the difference between how inner/outer planets formed)?</li></ol><div><br></div><div>The dust particles on the <strong>protostellar disk </strong>got pulled together by gravity and created <strong>planetesimals</strong>. These planetesimals came together to create even bigger planets.  The protostellar disk became a <strong>protoplanetary disk</strong>. The heat from the sun caused the terrestrial planets to be made of rock and metal only, while the gas giants were made of gas and ice along with rock and metal because it was cold enough in the outer disk for the gas and ice to exist.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>]]></description>
