Schizophrenia is a mental disorder which affects an individual's ability to feel, think, and behave comprehensibly. Schizophrenics possess this disorder for years and can even last up to a life time. Although, the cause of Schizophrenia is still unknown many believe that it is a combination of environment, genetics, and altered brain structure and chemistry that contribute.

In some cases, mental institutions, facilities, and hospitals treat Schizophrenic patients very poorly. These patients are locked in a room with no one to talk to and even be beaten by staff. Clearly, these are not the right ways to handle individuals suffering from Schizophrenia and should be treated fairly and in ways which will support them in the hopes of bringing them to the most stable mental-state possible.
