Often large companies would force smaller companies out of business by lowering their prices and once the smaller companies were gone, the larger companies would make their prices skyrocket. In order to prevent this, Roosevelt sued hurtful trusts through the Sherman Antitrust Act of 1890. </div>]]></description>

         <title>1902 Coal Miners Strike </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>When mine owners refused to negotiate with coal miners over wages, Roosevelt decided to play a role by threatening to have the government take control over the coal mines. In the end both sides agreed to have an arbitration commission in order to reach a compromise and from then on the government was involved in strikes. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Due to the publishing of a renowned book "The Jungle" in which the disgusting and unsanitary workplace of a meat packing industry was described, Roosevelt was sure to pass the Meat Inspection Act in order to have strict cleanliness for meat-packers. The Pure Food and Drug Act was passed in order to ensure that products being sold had what they were said to be in them and prevent fraud promises from the companies.</div>]]></description>

Ballinger who seemed to want the complete opposite of what Pinchot wanted for the land. Ballinger made numerous plans that mainly involved beneficial circumstances  towards private developments. After continuous complaints, Pinchot was fired from the US Forest Service. </div>]]></description>
