I don't think they have equal weight, which is understandable, as teenagers may sometimes rate items randomly or based off weird criteria. However, I think there are also adults now that do the same kind of reviews, so maybe it doesn't really matter a lot now.

I agree to the extent that the criticism is based off objective criteria or at least honest. If people just criticize for the sake of criticizing, that is, releasing their negative emotions, I don't think the criticisms would really be beneficial.
