In 2023, I went back to Edinburgh College (Milton Road Campus) to study Sound Production. I feel much more confident in this course as I feel I can show my skills better. In this course we study things like mixing/mastering tracks, post production, studio, live sound and remixing. I completed the first year of this course (HNC) with a grade B.

My name is Amy Rose Reid and I go by the name Charlie in music. I write/produce my own music. I play guitar and bass and have done for a few years. I studied Music Performance for 3 years from 2018-2021 at Edinburgh College and now currently studying Sound Production. My aim for the future is to teach sound production/music. Most of my experience comes from playing in bands in my previous performance courses and being in the college studios. I recently joined a choir, known as Broxburn Sings, at the beginning of 2024 in which I have been performing with on a few occasions.

I started studying Music Performance at Edinburgh College (Sighthill Campus) in 2018 starting off in the NC Level 5, moving up to NC Level 6 and then leaving in 2021 with a grade C in HNC. The type of modules we studied were Live Performance, Studio, Midi Technology, Aural Skills, Songwriting, Music Theory, Keyboard Skills and Music Business. My best subject during these years was music theory.

In January 2024, I joined an adults contemporary choir called Broxburn Sings. It was created in April 2023 by two primary school teachers from St Nicholas Primary. It is held in the Canon Hoban Hall in Broxburn every Wednesday evening. We sing songs from lots of different artists such U2, Beyonce, The Cranberries and Fleetwood Mac, Etc. Since I joined in January, we have performed a few shows at different venues such as Howden Park Centre Livingston with Back to Bacharach, Maggies Centre in Edinburgh and Greyfriers Kirk with Maggies Centre. We are soon to be holding a 1st birthday concert at the Canon Hoban Hall.
