When Jew hate went around kids spat on her and called her names. She learned she was a Jew even though she and her family didn’t practice the religion. Years later she and her mother were sent to work in a sugar factory. She was then sent to a concentration camp. She was set free at sixteen years old, and weighed 48 pounds. She then immigrated to the U.S. four years later.
