It was the time that my coursemates and I studied Number Theory extra hard during New Year’s Eve. Anyway, I would like to extend my thanks to our beloved and sweet lecturer, Dr. Farwina who is our inspiration and our bright light. Thank you Dr for guiding us. May Allah bless Dr. Farwina in this world and in the hereafter, amen. To my coursemates, thanks all! I have learned so many things from the discussions with my coursemates as well. By learning MGM502 Number Theory, I am in love with Number Theory. I might get married to Number Theory soon. Just kidding. For me, the most awesome thing about Number Theory is prime numbers. Because from the infinitely many combinations of prime numbers, we can build infinitely many other integers greater than 1, which are not prime numbers. Isn’t that cool? I love the fact that although the definition of prime numbers is easily understood, but there are so many interesting secrets and problems about prime numbers, which are not yet discovered or even solved today. Prime numbers are no strangers but yet mysterious. For example, the Twin Prime Conjecture: there are infinitely many twin prime numbers, which have not been proven until today. For my dear juniors, Mathematics is so fun especially Number Theory. What I can say is, don’t be afraid to solve any mathematical problem. It is okay if you can’t solve it but it is important for you to try to solve it. Be brave to throw yourself into the flame of the problem. Although you can’t solve it, but your process or your journey or your adventure along the way to solve that problem will make you a better mathematician.
