The DNA molecule is 2 stranded and in the top strand it is 5' to 3' and at the bottom strand is 3' to 5'.The bases make up the stages or steps of the ladder. Sugar an Phosphate make up the rails of the ladder.The blue gummy bear always goes with the yellow and same with the purple and orange.

We cut the licorice into pieces so the red licorice can go through to link them in together. We also put the gummy bears together the ordered pairs and linked them together.

We connected the bases (gummy bears) with 6 toothpicks. We used scissors to cut the pieces of black licorice.
