Louis was born in New Orleans, Louisiana August 4th, 1901. Louis Armstrong was a professional trumpet player and the creator of scat. He started to become famous after working with Joe “King” Oliver in New York. After working with Joe “King” Oliver he decided to live in New to play with his friend whos a drummer. He moved from New York to marry his first wife. People started noticing him when he played in many famous clubs and groups and he made a song that was included in the play, Hello Dolly. Before Louis, jazz was music mostly focused on bands, but when he started playing he showed people that they can be a soloist and take the spotlight. Also, he created “Scat” which is the imitation of an instrument with your voice. He made the song What A Wonderful World, Go down Mosses, BAIN STREET BLUES, We Have All The Time in the world and more.
