The 2nd-grade students of Gimnazija Vukovar will participate in the activity: "The Magic of Fractals Meets Coding - CODE WEEK 4 ALL." Within this activity, they will be creating Python code to visualize fractal shapes that are encountered in nature. The main goal of this activity is for the students to use the Python programming language to create their own code that displays various fractal shapes. Fractals are mathematical patterns that often appear in nature, such as the branching shapes of trees, coastal patterns on the shore, or complex patterns in flowers. Through this activity, the students will understand how mathematics is used to describe these natural phenomena and how it can be applied in the world of computer programming. Each student will have the opportunity to experiment with coding and customize their own fractal shapes. This will stimulate their creativity and mathematical thinking. Through the process of creating fractals, students will also develop their programming skills in Python, which will be useful in future projects and professional endeavors. Once they complete their work, students will have the chance to share their creations with others. They will do this through the Padlet wall, where they will publish their fractal art. This wall will become a virtual exhibition of their work, allowing them to share their effort and creativity with their peers, teachers, and all interested parties. This activity will not only encourage students to develop their mathematical and programming skills but will also provide them with an opportunity for collaborative learning, cooperation, and sharing their ideas and creative achievements. There is no doubt that the students of Gimnazija Vukovar will learn a lot from this fascinating adventure into the world of fractals and programming.
