Instead of turning on the heating when it's cold I instead put on my coat. It has pockets of cotton inside to help insulate and the inner layer is fluff to help keep warm more. This is sustainable as less fossil fuels are being used to heat up my house reducing my houses greenhouse gas emissions.

I take public transport to and from work and college. This is more sustainable than driving in a car as many more people can fit on a bus than a car which leads to a 72g per passenger decrease in CO2 emissions (according to https://www.governing.com/next/are-trains-or-buses-better-for-the-environment).

When at college I use the mixed recycling bins and appropriately dispose in them (e.g paper and plastic bottles). This then leads to the bottles being re-used to make more bottles and any paper to be used in more paper or cardboard. This is sustainable as it means less trees need to be cut down for paper and less plastic needs to be produced whilst also stopping it from ending up in the ocean contributing to pollution.

I use a re-usable water bottle to drink water at home. This is sustainable as I'm not constantly buying new water bottles which may have been made new and may end up in a landfill which is bad for the environment.

Sustainability is the way we do something that won't permanently alter the natural environment for the future generations. Sustainability can effect how we do many different things ranging from travelling to places to the food we eat and so there's lots of things we can change to improve our sustainability.
